Looking Forward

Dear Colleagues,

It is my sincere pleasure to share with you a look ahead at just some of the highlights of the coming year.

ASRM ANNUAL CONGRESS & EXPO

The 2026 Congress will be held in Baltimore, Maryland, October 24-28, 2026, with the theme, “Discovery, Innovation, and Advancement.” With content that addresses the multifaceted and rapidly evolving innovations and technologies impacting reproductive medicine, the meeting will feature state-of-the-art scientific and educational sessions for everyone: physicians, advanced practice providers, nurses, andrology and embryology laboratory personnel, genetic counselors, mental health practitioners, and practice managers, as well as practitioners in public health, allied health, and ethics. The 2026 Congress will provide a venue for us to collectively examine these emerging technological advancements and their impact on patient care in the future.

This year, a new Master Class Summit format will replace the traditional Postgraduate Course structure. Several new session types have been created to meet the changing educational needs of our attendees. Registration for the Master Class Summit will enable attendees to attend any session offered throughout the Summit, allowing them to tailor the experience to meet their unique educational goals.

ASRM 2026 INNOVATE SUMMIT

Scheduled for October 28-29 in Baltimore, this year’s summit will again bring together clinicians, founders, funders, and entrepreneurs to advance reproductive medicine through the synergy of science and technology. The summit will include a “Pitch Tank” competition, where presenters can share their groundbreaking concepts with healthcare professionals, innovators, and investors, and we encourage you to attend this novel and inspiring conference.

RESEARCH INSTITUTE GRANTS AND PRESENTATIONS

The ASRM Research Institute, established in 2018, continues to robustly support timely basic science and clinical research. In 2025, 14 investigators received funding awards through the Institute, and 10 ASRM Research Institute awardees were featured presenters, showcasing their innovative research supported through the Institute.

Please visit asrmresearch.org to see the wide array of scientific projects that the Institute has supported over the years. You can also review the ASRM Research Blueprint, which highlights the Institute’s enduring commitment to fostering and promoting the careers of the current and next generations of researchers.

BUSINESS OF MEDICINE MEETING

This summer, ASRM will partner with the Canadian Fertility & Andrology Society (CFAS) to host the first ASRM/CFAS Business of Medicine Meeting in Chicago from June 18-20. The conference will provide a venue for healthcare professionals, decision-makers, and leaders to gain actionable insight into strategies for financial management, practice growth, and leadership. A sampling of the sessions includes Financial Literacy, Value Based Leadership, Using Metrics as a Guide, and Communication and Emotional Intelligence. Please join us in Chicago for this inaugural conference.

ADVOCACY

ASRM’s advocacy team continues to work tirelessly to advance reproductive policies and legislation across all 50 states and at the federal level.

In the year ahead, the ASRM Center for Policy & Leadership (CPL) is expanding its research capacity and scholarly output to deepen the field’s evidence base and elevate policy-relevant thought leadership in reproductive medicine. They are also launching another PRIMED cohort and look forward to showcasing their work at the 2026 ASRM Congress. Travel continues nationwide to educate policymakers, clinicians, and other stakeholders on key reproductive health policy priorities, and the CPL is proud to support Harvard’s Petrie-Flom Center in its upcoming conference on embryo law, one of the field’s most consequential emerging issues.

THE NEXT GENERATION

One of ASRM’s greatest strengths is its unwavering commitment to identifying and supporting future leaders within reproductive medicine. The Society for Reproductive Endocrinology & Infertility (SREI), the Society for Reproductive Surgeons (SRS), and the Society for Male Reproduction and Urology (SMRU) all host retreats for clinical fellows, providing robust venues for professional development and networking.

These groups also sponsor Traveling Scholar Awards, enabling recipients to attend the ASRM Annual Congress and sessions specifically tailored to their needs. These programs are well established, and some of the early award recipients are now leaders within their respective fields in reproductive medicine.

In closing, ASRM remains deeply committed to advancing reproductive medicine through scientific discovery, education, collaboration, and advocacy, and continues to provide meaningful opportunities for innovation, professional growth, and global partnership. By supporting cutting-edge research, strengthening policy leadership, and investing in the development of emerging leaders, ASRM is well positioned to help shape the future of reproductive health and improve care for patients around the world.
